I Never Expected to See Beyoncé Dressed as "Barb Wire "Pam Anderson—See the Photos | Allure

Halloween is over, but that didn't stop Beyoncé from dropping a last-minute costume-slash-music-video. Just a few days after she dressed up as both ‘80s-era Prince and Apollonia, Bey dropped another celebrity transformation, and it’s one I never expected—but can't get enough of.

The Cowboy Carter musician had us all tuning into “Beywatch” with her ode to ‘90s Pamela Anderson, specifically Anderson’s beyond-iconic Barb Wire black leather corset and fluffy blonde bangs look. Beyoncé debuted the costume in a video set to her song “Bodyguard,” looking like a dead ringer for Anderson with long platinum blonde hair styled in layered, feathery bombshell curls falling over her shoulders and piecey bangs that hit just past her brows, nearly brushing her lashes. Under the bangs were pencil-thin brows just like the ones Anderson has become synonymous with, highlighted by a vibrant, shimmery violet eye shadow applied all over the lid and lots of black eyeliner. Her lips were lined and painted with an extra-shiny nude lip gloss, just like Anderson's often were back in the '90s and early 2000s.

Here's the original Barb Wire look, just in case you needed a reminder:

Big, fluffy blonde hair: check. Skinny brows: check. Shimmery, frosty eye shadow: done and done. Bey incorporated every detail of Anderson's look, including the sheer, elbow-length gloves, under which she wore a long, stiletto-shaped nude mani. Though the Barb Wire ensemble was definitely the hero of her video, Beyoncé also channeled Anderson in a high-cut red swimsuit and a fluffy pink hat and corset, which Anderson famously wore to the 1999 MTV VMAs. (Note Beyoncé's version is the “No Visual Awards.”) She even went for a run on the beach, so dedicated was she to this costume. Of course, this is Beyoncé we're talking about, a noted Virgo who misses nothing. We may still be waiting on the Renaissance and Cowboy Carter visuals, but these Halloween costumes are definitely filling the void for now.
