And, most importantly, that the trend’s comeback is in the hands of Selena Gomez and her manicurist Tom Bachik. They’re simple, go with everything, enhance the natural beauty of our hands, and the best part is that their sole purpose is to give our nails a healthy, shiny look with their subtle shimmering hue.

Lip gloss nails are nothing more than a manicure that tries to imitate the effect that a gloss leaves on the lips. Just like a lip gloss, which gives an extra shine and a nourished look to our mouth, this technique is based on giving luminosity and a delicate wet effect to our nails. The key is to use nude tones so as not to detract from the naturalness of the nail, although there can be variations in more pink or mauve tones, as well as some daring manicurists who choose to adopt this super shiny technique on top of all kinds of colors.

The greatest goodness of this design is that it only takes two steps to achieve them. After having treated and filed our nails, we must start by applying a nude or pink polish on the surface of our nail. Since it is a fairly light shade, it is advisable to use at least two coats, and then to shade it with an ultra-shiny top coat—the main element of this manicure. As a trick, you can use a cuticle moisturizing oil to provide intense hydration and an absolute shine, just as a gloss would do on our lips.
